Yes, I've taken a break from blogging but it is time to dust off the ol' Bohemian Art Club and make it active again. It has been an...interesting....year. A tough year. But life goes on.
I've got some new ideas for this art blog. Partly for my own art but also to discuss other's art. Hopefully, it will be interesting enough for people to tune in.
First up is a bit of an advertisement. Here is the blurb....
Hey everyone! From now to Saturday, September 6th, my old alumni San Jose State University is having an art auction for the Jules Jammal Scholarship, which benefits artists in the Animation/Illustration program there in need. SJSU isn't a private art school but the program manages to turn out some top notch creators for Pixar, Warner Brothers, Disney, Zinga, and more.
Over 100 alumni artists are involved including me (you can get a nicely framed and matted Giclee print of my Scarlet Witch illustration). Bidding starts at $25, which really doesn't even cover the frames and matting for most of these. You'll find over 100 original works, high quality Giclee prints, and sculptures to choose from. Anything from Marvel, DC, to anime to even Super Grover! Something for everyone and they got the okay from the companies to make this happen.
There will also be a book produced of the works too for bibliophiles like myself if you want more art for your bucks. Please check out the links and pass the word.
