Krampus Roughs

Before working on the Krampus cards over the break, I did up some blue line roughs. Here are three of them.

Krampus Cards (Now in Color!)

Wrapping up the Krampus Card set that is due this weekend. Some of the cards that I did in full color I was really fighting with while using my watercolors. I scrubbed them and re-worked them with colored pencils before I gave up. Having more success was when I ditched the color and went with gray tones. They appeal to my tastes since I prefer the lack of color.

More Krampus cards! Really, I only need 6 of them but I had a lot of fun drawing these and I'll keep the left overs. The smaller sizes below are more close to the actual size.

Merry Krampus!

Wait! What? This is Christmas! What's with the devil guy motif? This is Krampus, who apparently is a European tradition where he travels with Santa and deals with the bad little boys and girls. Not that well known here in America, I guess he's got his own festivals in the Germanic parts of Europe.

These two pieces of artwork are actually smaller in size and are for a card set of 6 for an exchange at the end of the month. My friend Tracy does a card exchange with other creative friends where a new theme is chosen each month, artwork is created, and the cards are then exchanged with each other. These are my first two, drawn during today's football games, and I'll still need to color them.
