In class on Thursday, we had Creatures Day where the kids got to draw different types of creatures either from mythology and media to their own creations. But we also try to get in a demo each day. For Creatures Day, it is having the kids draw a Baby Dragon.
The Baby Dragon demo is taken from a fantasy book on how to draw dragons that my colleague Paula has so she takes the lead with this demo. She'll go through the demo on the overhead projector but I follow along on the dry erase board besides making the rounds among the kids to see how they are doing and to help. With three classes, we'll get at least three drawings of the same subject in. I was liking my dragon drawings so I was making a habit of snapping some cell phone pics before I erased the cartoon.
Here are my three dragons from each class. I'm going with the first, Class #1, as the best of the lot.
